Coffee Hour - Coffee hour (following the morning worship service, has resumed, after having been suspended during the days of COVID shutdowns and restrictions. Coffee hour provides a time for members of the congregation to visit as a fellowship of believers

Annual Events

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper - A tamer version of Mardi Gras, the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper is held in the Undercroft.  Traditionally, Shrove Tuesday was a time for a large meal comprised of foods that were not appropriate to be consumed during Lent.  Also, this meal was enjoyed just before the traditional fasting on Ash Wednesday.  Link to Photo Page
Parish Photo taken on Pentecost Sunday - Following the morning worship service on the Feast of Pentecost, members of the congregation (wearing red, signifying the fire of the Holy Spirit) stand on the front steps of the church (weather permitting) for a group photo. 
Parish Picnic - Each year on a summer Sunday, St. John's celebrates Holy Eucharist outdoors, followed by a pot-luck picnic. Link to Photo Page
Blessing of the Animals - On the Sunday closest to the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, parishioners bring their pets for a proper blessing, reminding us all of our responsibility to be good stewards of the environment, and of all the gifts God has given us in the natural world. Link to Photo Page
Christmas Party - Traditionally on the first Sunday in December, we gather in the Undercroft for food, fellowship and a celebration! Link to Photo Page
A Visit From St. Nicholas -  The good St. Nicholas of Myra makes an annual visit to St. John's, and tells his story to the young and the young-at-heart!  Link to Photo Page
